Olduvai Countdown was my first fiction novel. Initially written in 2014, I couldn't know how directly this fictional work would collide with the nonfictional realities of the Coronavirus Pandemic — COVID. In June 2023, an updated version of Olduvai Countdown, adapted to the post-COVID era, was released. The new version was awarded five stars by Pacific Book Review.
Today as our world continues to heal from COVID's devastation, the revised, updated version — Olduvai Countdown - A Jack Cann Medical Thriller — provides an inspirational story of hope through adversity during a personal and world crisis of epic proportions. The first edition of the Olduvai Countdown book was optioned by SONY Pictures for 3 years following its release. The screenplay, based upon the updated, post-COVID version of the novel, is available to option.
